The method of predicting the winner of the FIFA Men’s World Cup has become very advanced. Today, supercomputers, bookmakers, sports-savvy spectators, and even prognosticators compete in this.
But even German analyst Joachim Clement, who is famous for correctly predicting the winners of the last three World Cups, believes that luck plays a major role in determining the winner among the world’s best teams.
He told BBC Sport that it is impossible to predict in advance the performance of a team on match day, a referee’s decision or the luck of the ball hitting the goal post and not going wide.
